Episcopal Church Women (ECW) Programs

Programs of the ECW are divided into two areas: National and Diocesan. These programs are supported by your gifts of prayer, time, service and money. Because you give others receive. Through your prayers others are healed.

On the National Level there are three projects in which the ECW of Western North Carolina participate; the Church Periodical Club (CPC), the United Thank Offering (UTO), and the Episcopal Women's History Project.

On the Diocesan level the women support the following programs: All Saints' Day Memorial Offering (ASDMO), Heifer Project International (HPI), Lambeth Fund, and various Missions Projects, and the Sisters of the Transfiguration in the Dominican Republic, our adopted missionaries.

Other Diocesan Programs:

Lambeth Fund: This fund is used to help send the Bishop and spouse to the Lambeth Conference to London, held every ten years. If you wish to help with this fund, please make checks payable to ECW of WNC and identify as ECW Lambeth Conference Fund. International Heifer Project (INP): This project provides food producing animals and training for needy families in the United States and overseas. There are still a few parishes in our diocese which support this fund.

Women's Continuing Education Scholarship Fund: This fund is intended to assist women in our diocese who are already ordained, for those seeking ordination to the priesthood or permanent deaconate, or lay women who wish to pursue or further their religious education or ministry.
