Piedmont Deanery - The purpose of a Deanery is to improve communications and to provide more opportunities for mutual support and planing. Deanery normally meets twice a year or more for worship, study and fellowship. Each Deanery Chair serves on the ECW Diocesan Board. She plans deanery meetings and special projects. Contact her and offer your help. Be active in the planning process.

Becky Whelan grew up in South Carolina but has been in Shelby and at the Church of the Redeemer for almost thirty years. Over the years she had served on the Diocesan ECW board in various capacities and is currently the Piedmont Deanery Chair. She has served on the Standing Committee, and represented the Diocese as a deputy to General Convention 2006. She is married and has one son and daughter in law and two grandchildren. For relaxation, she enjoys traveling, gardening and reading, especially mysteries and Southern fiction. Whelan looks forward to being involved with the ECW Branches in the Piedmont Deanery.
