Church Periodical Club (CPC) Program and Miles of Pennies

The Church Periodical Club (CPC) is an Episcopal institution; its ministry is to supply books, magazines, tapes, videos and computer programs free to those who can not otherwise afford them. In order to obtain these funds, fund raisers and donations must be obtained to do this. There are two primary granting funds - The National Books Fund grants annually responds to requests for books and related materials around the world for adults including Seminarians and The Miles of Pennies Fund which is exclusively used for the book needs of children. Please collect your pennies in your parish for this need.

Miles of Pennies (MOP) Program - This project is to get books to children Grades 1-12 who do not live near libraries and can not afford to buy books. I ask you to please place a jar in your church and ask parishioners to put pennies in it. This is an excellent program to get children involved in a program which helps other children. Did you know that 16 pennies = 1 foot; 5280 feet = 1 mile and $844.80 pennies = 1 mile.
